This project is set up May/2019 from David Ogola in Kenia with the aim of providing an umbrella for permaculture and organic farming education, projects and research in Nyalawu Oliero village which has a population of 20,000 people

The goals of the project are

  • alieviate poverty within the community.
  • It was also to bring about food security.
  • Other goals include helping orphans, widows, old people, needy families and vulnerable members of greenland village farming project.
  • It was also meant to empower women and youths within the community.

The Project until now has brought about food security and even improved permaculture as a way to eradicate poverty and bring about food.

Up to  now we do not have any help. We only depend on our garden.

The group is also involved in poultry farming, livestock breeding and beekeeping.

The members of the Greenland Village Farming Project work as a team. They work 6 hours a day.
The work is divided equally among the members.

Surplus produce is used to help the needy members of the community.

Our teaching methods include workshops and hands-on activities in permaculture.

We also visit members' farms to make sure they are doing the right thing after the training.
We also make gifts to members who have done good work.

According to covid19 disease, the community is in a sorry state because of the current containment measures e.g curfews and lockdowns.
There is a serious shortage of food within the community.

As greenland village farming project we manage to offer free training program for youths during this covid19 to make them busy and so they can take care of themselves during this covid19.
